Dr. Daniel Diego, Vice Principal

Dr. Daniel DiegoDr. Daniel Diego has been involved in education for approximately 15 years. Over the course of his career, he spent 10 years working as a classroom teacher in various grade levels and content areas, and then five years as a curriculum coach. He has earned his Doctorate Degree in Curriculum and Instruction through the University of the Pacific, published several articles on education, spoken at conferences, and mentored new teachers. He believes in the power of education to cultivate diverse, democratic, sustainable ways of being and that school should be memorable, meaningful, and fun. On a more personal note, he has a wonderful wife named Sarah and two cats named Vinny and Ziggy. Most of his family originates from Guam but he was born and raised in Sacramento. His biggest passions include music and education and he can often be found playing music with friends, being involved in academic pursuits, or participating in opportunities for professional development.
